We provide services to review troubled IT projects and to recommend remedial action. Sometimes we are fortunate enough to be engaged to advise on development or procurement strategy before anything has gone wrong.

A typical project involves a scoping meeting with the commissioning manager, followed by fact-finding with the project manager and their team. In our experience, most projects run into difficulties from a combination of factors; these usually include optimistic initial timescales, changing requirements and the late discovery of software or system errors. Our role is not to allocate blame (cf our expert witness services), but to help the team and their senior management to establish new plans, budgets and timescales in which they can all have confidence.
 
Clients have included the Civil Aviation Authority, National Air Traffic Services Limited, Railtrack, Eurocontrol, Network Rail, and the Ministry of Defence.
